Mode of Admission
Students talented in sports and games are admitted to the school following to selection trials. Separate selection trials for 5th standard and for plus one are conducted towards this. A maximum strength of 30 students each is admitted to 5th standard and to plus one. The selection is made at the ratio 1:1 for girls and boys and at 2:1 for SC and ST categories.
Admission to 5th Standard
Students (boys and girls) in the state of Kerala,belonging to the SC and ST categories and presently studying in 4th standard may participate in the selection trails for admission to 5th standard. Selection trials are held in selected venues in every district.
Interested students are to attend the selection trials in specified venues. A letter issued by the Headmaster in the school of study, copies of caste and birth certificates, one passport size photograph etc. are to be produced by the students at the venue of selection trials. Travelling allowances will be provided to the participants for attending the trials.
Selection trails normally start in the month of January. The exact schedule will be available through the SC Development offices.

The final selections are made after consolidating the performances of candidates in various events during the district wise selection trials.
Admission to Plus One Class
All students (girls and boys) in the SC and SC categories who have just appeared for the exam of 10th standard are eligible for participating in the selection trials.
Candidates participating in the selection trails are to attend the trails in the prescribed venues at the specified time. A recommendation letter from the head of the institution, copies of caste and birth certificates, one passport size photograph, copies of sports merit certificates etc. are to be produced at the time of selection trials. The participants will be provided with travelling allowances.
